Heritage
Our band is
approaching its 75th Anniversary. This is a
momentous occasion, commemorating the remarkable fact that we are the oldest
Irish pipers’ band in continuous existence outside of Ireland.
The current
members of the band, are the inheritors and custodians of not only the long,
proud history of the Tyrone Pipers, but also of a distinct and distinctive
musical tradition, that of Irish piping.
